Mineral Exploration
MIM offers systematic exploration activities based on the prospect/ project requirement. The Geology department offers expertise in the following areas;
- Geological database set up and Management.
- Exploration programs design, budgeting and implementation.
- GIS applications in target generations.
- Geochemical Prospecting – Soil sampling, Stream sediments sampling design and execution.
- Geophysical prospecting – Use of ground and aerial images in exploration targets generation.
- Geological mapping and generation of surface geological maps as well as geological cross sections to industry standards.
- Planning and executing drilling programmes; this includes Rotary Air Blast (RAB), Air Core (AC), Reverse circulation (RC), and diamond drilling (DD).
- Rock Chips or/ and DD core logging, Sectioning and Interpretations.
- Technical reporting.
